The relationship comes first
We are committed to a respectful, professional, and strong client–therapist relationship. Matching the right person is one of the most important factors in whether therapy works.

Português
The clinic was founded by Brazilian-born psychologists. Nine clinicians work in Portuguese — in the consulting room, or online anywhere in Australia. You do not have to translate yourself to be understood.

Play, patience, and a room that feels safe.
You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation. Our child clinicians use play therapy, Cool Kids anxiety work, and parent-inclusive assessment so young people can be seen, not just observed.

A space to examine a life, without performance.
Anxiety, depression, trauma, identity, burnout, grief, eating disorders, sleep, and the quieter work of becoming more yourself. Sessions are 50 minutes, typically weekly or fortnightly.

Two people, one conversation that has been waiting.
Couples are usually seen together first, then one individual session with each partner, before returning as a pair. Work draws on Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman, and relational intimacy practice.

The system around the person matters.
Parenting, attachment, intergenerational patterns, and family therapy. Where it helps, we include teachers, GPs, and other professionals — with your consent.

Our story
Bilibio Psychology Clinic grew from a small room in South Sydney in 2007 to a multidisciplinary practice of more than twenty-seven therapists. It is named in memory of the founder’s father, and built on the philosophy he lived by: care, love and respectful affection.
Bilibio comes from the Latin bilibium — lips. The name was first given in an ancient Roman family for a distinctive mouth; we keep it because therapy is, at heart, communication: the expression of thought and feeling.

We are committed to a respectful, professional, and strong client–therapist relationship. Matching the right person is one of the most important factors in whether therapy works.
Clinical work is founded on efficacious, up-to-date interventions that meet best-practice criteria where possible — and adapted to the person in the room.
We work with you, not on you. Treatment plans are discussed openly, and you remain the authority on your own life.
Services are respectful of beliefs, culture and heritage, ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, and each person’s growth process. Our programs are for everyone.

Approaches
Increases awareness of unconscious internal reality, and how historical and developmental influences shape what is happening now.
A focused approach based on the idea that cognitions influence feelings and behaviours. Unhelpful patterns are identified and replaced with more workable ones.
Time-limited work that focuses on the interpersonal context, expectations in relationships, and building communication skills.
Short-term and goal-focused. The question is not only what is wrong, but how things will be when they are better — and what it will take.
We are here to take you as far as you need to go. Call, write, or book a first appointment online.
